so lets try to go over a FULL history of what exactly happened on the server...

First off. I started warfare on the new map xstorytimex made. After awhile the server crashed. Then it kept crashing over and over. I looked into what the errors were and basically these errors were (not an exaggeration) being repeated about 10,000 times or so.

    java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

    and

    2011-05-30 18:35:03 [SEVERE] at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketAccept(Native Method)
    2011-05-30 18:35:03 [SEVERE] at java.net.AbstractPlainSocketImpl.accept(AbstractPlainSocketImpl.java:375)
    2011-05-30 18:35:03 [SEVERE] at java.net.ServerSocket.implAccept(ServerSocket.java:470)
    2011-05-30 18:35:03 [SEVERE] at java.net.ServerSocket.accept(ServerSocket.java:438)
    2011-05-30 18:35:03 [SEVERE] at net.minecraft.server.NetworkAcceptThread.run(SourceFile:40)
2011-05-30 18:35:03 [SEVERE] java.net.SocketException: Too many open files

So I went back to an older world and stopped warfare. xstorytimex opened the map up and turns out it looked like this. VERY corrupted...

And now the old world was screwing up, so I posted on the server support forums and turns out our server was using up 400% more CPU than usual. They had actually stopped our server 3 or 4 times because it was using up too much CPU. So I had to start removing plugins and that didn't do anything until I just put us back on the normal MC server software. A few hours later I looked at the latest bukkit build and build 816 was out. I put that up and the server ran fine. Installed most of the plugins and went to bed. I woke up today and installed build 817 and everything seems to be running smoothly. Hooray!
